F.A.Q

   1. Can you make this crochet item?

If you send me a picture of a crochet object, chances are I can find the pattern and can make it. If I can't find a pattern, I can re-design the object. (If I am designing It will cost more because you are paying for my time to design. It will also take longer because other orders that can be done quickly will take precedence)

    2. Can you make this character, logo, or other item?

If you send me a picture of something that does not have an existing crochet pattern available, I can usually design it. It will cost more because you are paying for my time designing. It will also take longer as designing is done between orders that can be done more quickly

    3. Do you use felt or needle felting on your crochet products?

I don't typically use felt on my products because I don't like to work with glue and I want my products to be washable if possible. I am not practiced in needle felting, so I don't typically use it in my products either. I do however sew things to them and embroider on my finished products.

    4. Do you use batting in your lined/backed blankets?

I do only when it's requested. Crochet blankets tend to be heavy and warm enough without. Some blankets can't use batting even when lined because of the open stitching used. In those cases the only option, if you want batting, is to double line it with the batting between the two lining layers.

    5. Why don't you use recommend safety eyes in items intended for children under 3 years old?

Safety eyes are typically secure and can't be removed once placed. I do use the same type that are used in manufactured stuffed animals, but there is always a chance that a child might get one loose when chewing, biting, or sucking on a stuffed animal. It then becomes a choking hazard and not worth the risk. (However, the risk is up to you, I do not make the choice for you).

    6. What type of yarn do you typically use for stuffed animals?

I typically use acrylic yarn in all my stuffed animals. It is hypoallergenic and holds up well. For infants, though, I typically use cotton. Cotton is softer and breathes better. It also absorbs moisture better and is also hypoallergenic.

    7. Why do you charge more to design an item?

I charge for the time it takes me to design an item just as I do to make an item regularly. Designing takes more time, therefore, costs more.

    8. Do you teach crochet?

I do teach. I teach locally in St. Cloud, Minnesota. I do, however have beginner crochet tutorials I periodically post on YouTube (link below) and I do tutorial nights while I stream on Twitch (link below).

    9. Do you stream your orders on Twitch?

I do unless otherwise asked not to. I wouldn't want to ruin a surprise gift for someone.

  10. Do you ship internationally?

I do, but I do not cover the extra cost of shipping. I require shipping and customs costs to be covered by the customer.
